Sean Hercun, co-owner and Registered Physiotherapist, graduated from The University of Western Ontario in 2003 with a B.Sc. in Physical Therapy after completing a 5 year double major in Biology and Kinesiology, also at Western. Since then, Sean has continued to expand his knowledge by taking several post-graduate courses. He has focused on advanced manual therapy courses with a goal of attaining his advanced manual therapy certification. Sean has completed all 5 levels of the Fit fore Golf certification program and most recently, the Shift concussion management seminar series. Sean believes that the increased assessment and treatment time offered at Georgina Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic allows the Physiotherapist to get to the root of the problem and more importantly, treat the patient as a whole. In his spare time, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and their two very active young boys. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing hockey, camping and fishing.

Andrea Harrison-Hercun, co-owner and Registered Physiotherapist, graduated from The University of Western Ontario in 2003 with a B.Sc. in Physical Therapy after completing an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University from 1996-2000. Andrea began her career in private practice and then made a switch to paediatric physiotherapy in 2006 where she worked at the school board under the Children's Treatment Network of Simcoe York. She continued to work part time at the school board and then started working as an infant and pre-school Physiotherapist at Southlake Regional Health Centre in 2012 where she specializes in treating infants with torticollis, hypotonia, and delayed gross motor skills. Andrea is also a registered Authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program where she is able to prescribe mobility devices (walkers, wheelchairs, scooters etc.). She has taken several post-graduate courses in both orthopaedics and paediatrics. Andrea lives in Georgina with her husband, Sean, and her two boys who keep her very busy. She loves spending time outdoors in the garden and is a huge hockey fan!

Sara Hawton



Office Manager and Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA), Sara Hawton received her PTA diploma from Robetech Institute of Healthcare & Technology in 2005. She has been working in the healthcare field since 2004 and prior to that she was employed in the not-for-profit sector. Sara joined Georgina Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic in 2013. She is often the first person a patient will meet when they come to the clinic and she is eager able to help them with any questions/concerns they may have. She also assists the physiotherapists whenever needed as a PTA. Her love of animals keeps Sara busy in her spare time as a volunteer with several canine organizations. She enjoys biking, hiking, gardening and art, and dreams of visiting Alaska one day to see the wildlife first-hand, especially the polar bears and whales!
